Investment Education, Research & Tools for Smarter Decisions.
A single, searchable reference for the terms used across this site's stock and crypto education library, order types, short selling, relative volume, technical and fundamental analysis, trading psychology, tokenomics, and DeFi. Each entry gives a short, plain-language definition; where this site has a deeper guide on the topic, the entry links straight to it.
Direct answer: This glossary is a single searchable reference for stock and crypto trading terminology used across Swoopr Investment's education library. Each entry gives a short, plain-language definition, and terms with a dedicated guide on the site link straight to that fuller explanation.
Covers over 10311 terms spanning stocks, crypto, options, futures, and DeFi, organized into 27 A-Z letter pages.
Every entry is a standalone definition, even when no dedicated guide exists yet for that term.
Entries with a deeper Swoopr Investment guide include a "Full guide →" link to worked examples and formulas.

Content is educational only and never recommends buying, selling, or holding any specific security or asset.
About This Glossary
This glossary covers both stock-market and crypto terminology in one alphabetical list, since most traders on this site work across both. Definitions here are intentionally short, for a term with a dedicated guide on Swoopr Investment, the entry ends with a "Full guide →" link to the fuller explanation, worked examples, and formulas. Terms without a linked guide still get a complete, standalone definition.
This page is educational and informational only. It is not personalized investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, and no entry recommends buying, selling, or holding any specific security, cryptocurrency, or protocol.
Glossary Sourcing and Definitions
Definitions in this glossary are written by the Swoopr Editorial Team in plain language for general education, not copied from a single outside source. Most entries describe widely used market terminology and mechanics that do not change based on a specific regulation or tax rule.
A smaller set of entries describes a specific regulatory rule, tax treatment, or protocol-level rule (for example, Regulation SHO, the wash-sale rule, Rule 144, or the FinCEN Travel Rule). For these terms, the definition is checked against a primary source, a regulator, tax authority, or self-regulatory organization such as the SEC, FINRA, the IRS, or the Federal Reserve: rather than relying on secondary summaries alone. These primary sources are drawn from the same reviewed source library used elsewhere on this site for article references (see Citation & Sources Policy).
Regulatory, tax, and protocol-sensitive entries also carry a review-frequency label internally, quarterly for rules that change often (like margin and settlement mechanics) or annual for rules that change less often (like general capital-gains treatment), so they get re-checked against current rules on a set cadence rather than only when someone happens to notice they're stale. This process is ongoing: not every regulatory or tax term has a primary-source citation attached yet, and coverage expands over time.
Nothing in this glossary is personalized investment, legal, or tax advice. Rules referenced here (contribution limits, thresholds, filing requirements, and similar figures) can change; verify current requirements with the primary source or a qualified professional before acting on them.
