Investing for a 6-Year-Old
At age 6, a child may begin formal schooling. 529 funds can cover K-12 private school tuition up to ,000 per year (federal). A 529 education horizon is now 12 years. The Three Clocks framework still applies: Control Clock (parent-controlled), Earnings Clock (no earned income yet), Spending Clock (education in 12 years, retirement in 59 years).
